Sawalha threatens legal action after Loose Women removal

Loose Women host Nadia Sawalha is considering legal action against ITV for removing her from the panel show, citing her support for Palestine. The 61-year-old TV personality alleges she was targeted due to a campaign of smears and hostile media coverage. She claims ITV could not guarantee she would remain on the show, as it depended on her subsequent comments.

Sawalha was fired in July 2026 after joining the program in 1999 as an original panellist. She launched a petition with over 20,000 signatures, calling for ITV to apologize and reinstate her. Sawalha expressed her disappointment, stating she had appealed to ITV's "hearts and minds" without success. She accused the network of "forever changing the goalposts" and warned that she is not alone in facing such treatment for speaking her mind.
