Report: Liverpool set to open ‘official talks’ for £43m winger; Anfield is his first choice

Liverpool are reportedly planning to initiate 'official talks' with Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of their 18-year-old winger Ibrahim Mbaye this summer. Sources indicate that the Senegal international is keen on a move to Anfield, with Liverpool being his preferred destination. The Champions League holders are ready to negotiate a transfer fee between £34.3m and £42.9m, with PSG reportedly valuing Mbaye at a fee in that range.

Anfield is noted as the young player's first choice, and Liverpool appears to be in a strong position to secure his signature. Although Paris Saint-Germain is aiming to retain their teammate Bradley Barcola, who is valued at approximately £145m, they seem more willing to let Mbaye depart. The Reds are aware that Mbaye has potential to develop further, despite his current goal tally and some reported issues at PSG.
