Google Chrome starts rolling out updated navigation bar with Gemini button on Android [Gallery]

Google Chrome is testing a significant redesign for both Android and iPhone devices, featuring dual bars at the top and bottom, along with a new Gemini shortcut. Over a year after integrating a bottom bar for URLs and other controls on Android, Google appears to be rolling out a more radical update. The new design includes a top bar for the URL, share button, back button, and overflow menu, while the bottom bar now has dedicated space for “New Tab,” tab management, and a dedicated Gemini button.

Although the new design supports a full bottom-bar layout, it is currently thicker to accommodate the Gemini shortcut. Google announced Gemini integration into Chrome in May but delayed its rollout. Only a single device is currently displaying the new UI, despite updates and consistent settings. A similar UI was spotted on Twitter/X earlier this month and an iPhone user earlier this year.
