Dolby Vision 2 is officially available on select Hisense TVs

Dolby Vision 2, the next-generation image technology, is now officially available on several select Hisense TV models. This advanced feature relies on a sophisticated algorithm that optimizes content scene-by-scene, promising a vastly improved viewing experience. The big highlight is Content Intelligence, a platform that uses embedded metadata to fine-tune the picture on a scene-by-scene basis, ensuring every moment is displayed at its best.

Notably, it dynamically adjusts the picture to maintain clarity during particularly dark cinematic scenes, a common issue with traditional TVs. The system also caters to sports and gaming enthusiasts, with white point adjustments and motion control features. Light Sense 2, another new tool, continuously optimizes picture quality based on ambient lighting, particularly beneficial in sunlit rooms during the day.

Authentic Motion, a creative motion control tool, aims to make scenes feel more authentically cinematic by eliminating unwanted jerky motions without introducing an unnatural smoothness. The user-friendly interface includes an intensity slider to adjust the depth and richness of the experience. Dolby Vision 2 Max features, Authentic Motion, and Light Sense 2 are supported on all the mentioned models, though not every future TV will necessarily have these capabilities.

Major content providers like Peacock, Canal+, and iQIYI have already committed to utilizing these tools. While other TV manufacturers are yet to confirm support, Dolby Vision 2 is expected to roll out more widely in the near future.
