Relysia, the creator of the True Third-Person Camera mod for Baldur's Gate 3, has been meticulous in demonstrating how their creation stands apart from other third-person viewpoint solutions. Numerous commentators on Nexus Mods have pointed out the similarity between their mod and Native Camera Tweaks, prompting Relysia to release an eight-minute video detailing the distinctions between their work.

The True Third-Person Camera mod offers an over-the-shoulder viewpoint that allows players to look upwards, something the controller-based camera in the game cannot accomplish. Furthermore, the mod defaults to a slightly off-screen perspective, akin to the Tomb Raider 1996 camera angle, as opposed to the centered third-person view of other solutions.

Players can adjust the camera's position on the fly using the asterisk key and modify it via the Mod Configuration Menu for a seamless experience.
