Another Arsenal World Cup international returns to training

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has returned to pre-season training following his vacation post-World Cup, but he will not participate in Wednesday's friendly match against Real Betis. The senior squad is currently in Dublin for the game, which means Odegaard has yet to join his teammates. The Arsenal medical and fitness team is taking extra precautions by allowing players a few days to acclimate before subjecting them to match conditions.

Odegaard's return aligns with the timelines of the Gabriels, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli, who returned from the World Cup on July 5th and 11th, respectively. Given the World Cup exits of the other Arsenal players on July 5th, 11th, and the subsequent week, it is reasonable to expect the remaining Arsenal internationals to be back by Thursday of next week.

This will provide a tight schedule leading up to the Community Shield on August 16th. Odegaard is expected to be ready for some playing time ahead of the Emirates Cup match against Borussia Dortmund this weekend.
