Ukrainian drone strike on Russian warehouses in Moscow region kills 5

A Ukrainian drone strike targeting industrial warehouses in the Moscow region of Russia resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to ten others, according to regional governor Andrey Vorobyov. The attack hit three Wildberries warehouses, including two run by the e-commerce giant, as well as a warehouse near Krasny Bor. Wildberries, often referred to as the "Russian Amazon," accounted for up to 10% of Russia's retail turnover.

The attack comes amid a cycle of retaliation between Ukraine and Russia, with both nations conducting long-range strikes targeting civilian infrastructure. In Ukraine, Russian attacks killed three people in Sumy, and in southern Ukraine, an 89-year-old woman was killed in the port city of Mykolaiv. Russia launched 136 drones at Ukraine overnight, with 117 intercepted. The conflict has seen a growing number of civilian casualties, according to the United Nations.
