Opinion: Israel is not 'testing' its ceasefires. It's violating them

In a recent column for Middle East Eye, Barry Malone contends that Israel is not merely testing its ceasefires, but is in fact violating them. Malone points out that the western media has largely overlooked this blatant disregard for the ceasefires in Gaza and Lebanon. He asserts that there was no report in the western media describing the massacre of the Masri household as a ceasefire violation, which he claims is a pattern across similar atrocities.

According to Israel, it was targeting a Hamas member without providing any evidence. However, even if Firas al-Masri was indeed a member of Hamas, as Israel claims, it raises the question of who they agreed to the ceasefire with. The answer is Hamas. Despite these established facts, it appears that international journalists have abandoned their responsibility to accurately describe events.
