Fifa private money plan had to be scrapped - Wenger

Fifa's president Gianni Infantino has called an emergency meeting of senior leaders following the rejection of his plan to sell off the organization's commercial and event operations. The meeting, which will take place in Morocco, will feature key members of the Fifa management board including chief financial officer Thomas Peyer and legal chief Emilio Garcia Silvero.

Infantino's plan, dubbed the Fifa Forward Enterprise, was scrapped after facing criticism from senior officials such as Arsene Wenger, secretary general Mattias Grafstrom, and Prince Ali, the president of the Jordanian Football Association. Wenger stated that scrapping the plan was "absolutely necessary and beyond question," while Grafstrom described the past week as a "sad and reproachable series of events."

Prince Ali accused Fifa of creating a situation akin to blackmail over unpaid prize money and support for Infantino's re-election. The meeting comes as Uefa has threatened legal action against Infantino, citing a document preservation letter.
