Fulham sign Garcia and Palacios from Real Madrid

Fulham have secured the signings of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid in five-year contracts. The deal, reportedly worth £34 million, sees Garcia, 22, reuniting with new manager Alvaro Arbeloa, as the two have previously worked together at the Bernabeu. Garcia, who made 39 appearances and scored eight goals for Real Madrid last season, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I’m very grateful, very happy to be here.”

His highly rated teammate, former Real team-mate Palacios, 21, will also join Garcia at Fulham's Craven Cottage on a contract that extends until the summer of 2031, with the club holding the option to extend the agreements by a further 12 months. Palacios, who made five substitute appearances for Real Madrid, has also represented Spain at the under-20 level.
