Tuanku Muhriz titah Adun N Sembilan dahulukan kepentingan rakyat

On this day, Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir and Tuanku Aishah Rohani Tengku Besar Mahmud presided over the Installation and Oath-taking ceremony for the Ninth Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan at Istiadat Pelantikan and Mengangkat Sumpah at Balairong Seri, Seri Menanti State Palace. The ceremony, attended by Tuanku Aishah Rohani Tengku Mahmud and Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin Tuanku Muhriz as well as Tunku Panglima Besar Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin Tuanku Muhriz, saw Undang Luak Sungei Ujong Faris Johari and Undang Luak Rembau Hassan Ab Hamid present their oaths of office.

Earlier, Adun Juasseh Ismail Lasim took the oath of office as the new Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan. Tuanku Muhriz expressed confidence in Ismail's continued dedication and honesty, emphasizing the need for the Chief Minister and all Members of Parliament to prioritize the well-being of the people and their state above political and personal interests.

The monarch reminded the Chief Minister and all Members of Parliament to uphold the integrity of their roles, their positions, and the trust placed in them. He urged all stakeholders not to misuse power or authority, as such actions would tarnish the institution they represent and potentially lead to injustice and the weakening of efforts for the people's welfare and the advancement of the state.

Tuanku Muhriz expressed faith in Ismail to continue serving diligently and honestly, building upon the success of the previous administration and rectifying any shortcomings. He also reminded the Chief Minister and Members of Parliament to maintain respect and loyalty to the Royal Institution and safeguard the sovereignty of the Negeri Sembilan constitutional framework, as well as acknowledge the power vested in the Legislative and Parliament of Negeri Sembilan.

The monarch further highlighted the importance of acknowledging the values and traditions of every religion, ethnicity, and culture, as well as promoting mutual understanding, respect, and appreciation for diversity as a strength of society, which should continue to be nurtured among all members of the population. Tuanku Muhriz expressed hope that, despite the recent elections, all candidates would continue to serve their people with dedication and contribute to the welfare and progress of Negeri Sembilan.
