NDC orders completion of outstanding branch executive elections nationwide

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has instructed all regional executives to finalize outstanding Branch Executive Elections nationwide by August 11, 2026. This directive, issued by the party's National Secretariat and signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, aims to complete the party's internal electoral processes before advancing to subsequent stages of its electoral calendar.

The decision to hold these elections in the specified timeframe was made during a meeting of the Functional Executive Committee on July 28, 2026. Regional Chairmen and Secretaries are responsible for overseeing the remaining elections, ensuring they are conducted through the party's regional structures and adhering to the party's established procedures and guidelines.

The nine-day election period, from August 3 to August 11, 2026, is expected to bring closure to all branch-level electoral activities across the country. Regional officials are tasked with providing adequate supervision, logistical support, and administrative oversight throughout the election process, ensuring that all activities comply with the NDC Constitution and directives issued by the national leadership.
