Child among four Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza

Four Palestinians, including a child, lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza on Sunday, according to medics. The victims were struck in two separate incidents. In the first strike, a man and his wife were killed, and four others sustained injuries in an airstrike targeting an apartment in Deir al-Balah, a city in the central Gaza Strip.

The second strike claimed the lives of two more individuals, one of whom was a child, in an assault on an apartment in Gaza City. Despite US President Donald Trump's recent announcement of a breakthrough in efforts to restore the 2023 Gaza ceasefire agreement, the violence continued. Trump had declared on Thursday that a significant breakthrough had occurred, following Hamas's agreement to disarm under a US-backed initiative aimed at implementing the ceasefire deal reached in Egypt last year.

On Friday, Trump's Board of Peace released a 15-point roadmap detailing the final steps necessary to fulfill the terms of the agreement.
