111th Sri Lanka Tennis Nationals from 07 to 23 August

The 111th Sri Lanka Tennis Nationals, scheduled to take place from August 7-23, 2026, will be held at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association in Colombo. This championship, with a rich history of over a century, is considered the pinnacle of domestic competitive tennis in Sri Lanka. The association, formerly known as the Ceylon Lawn Tennis Association since 1915, has seen numerous Sri Lankan tennis stars compete for honors and enhance their legacy.

The 111th edition has drawn significant attention, despite a restriction on main draw entries to 64 players. The championship welcomes both local and expatriate Sri Lankan tennis players, eager to participate in the country's premier domestic tournament. The Sri Lanka Nationals encompasses a wide range of competition, including Junior, Open, Senior, and Wheelchair Tennis categories.

The Junior Championships feature events for Boys’ and Girls’ Singles and Doubles in the Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 age groups. The Open Championships consist of Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Prize money for all Open events is expected to total around Rs. 1 million.

The tournament will be overseen by Tournament Director Stephen Raj Pathmanathan and Tournament Referee Ms. Shehara Madawala.
