I tried Dynaudio’s huge soundbar with moving wooden fins, and was wowed by its immense power and scale.
At High End Vienna, I discovered an extraordinary soundbar called the Dynaudio Opus One. This large, premium product features mechanized wooden fins that create a unique appearance. The Opus One is part of Dynaudio's Symphony line of products that aim to create a home audio ecosystem, similar to Sonos' multi-speaker systems. Its striking width of 73.4 inches is designed to complement larger TVs and rooms for enhanced bass and immersive sound.
The soundbar boasts 24 drivers, including six soft-dome tweeters, 14 mid/bass drivers, and four dual-diaphragm force-cancelling subwoofers, all powered by 1500W of digital amplification. It supports various audio formats, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and can function as a stereo device. Connectivity options include HDMI ARC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an Ethernet port.
The Opus One features a 72-moving wooden fin design, handmade from white oak, and acoustically transparent fabric for a stylish and functional appearance. Priced at €13,000, its sophisticated design and powerful performance make it a luxurious addition to any home audio setup.
