Saudi air defenses intercept 3 ballistic missiles, 2 cruise missiles targeting Riyadh, other regions

Early Sunday, Saudi air defenses successfully intercepted and neutralized three ballistic missiles and two cruise missiles targeted at Riyadh and various other regions. The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen's spokesperson, Major General Turki Al-Malki, reported on the interception of a Houthi-militia launched ballistic missile aimed at the Eastern Province in the early hours of the day.

Additional intercepts of two more ballistic missiles targeting Riyadh followed shortly thereafter. Two cruise missiles, aimed at Riyadh and southern Saudi Arabia, were also neutralized later in the morning. Concurrently, the Saudi Civil Defense system issued multiple emergency warnings to residents across several areas, urging them to take safety measures.

The first alert was sent to Dammam in the Eastern Province early on, followed by Al Ahsa an hour later and Buqayq a few hours after that. Further warnings were issued for Riyadh and Najran regions later that morning. Civil Defense later confirmed the danger had passed in these areas with all-clear notifications.
