The inaugural Real American Freestyle (RAF) wrestling league event will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 14 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Khamzat Chimaev, a star from the UAE, will be the headline act, facing former UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington for the Cruiserweight Crossover Championship. Chimaev, who has an undefeated record in freestyle wrestling, is looking to extend his winning streak to 28 matches.
Covington, who recently retired from MMA, has criticized Chimaev, predicting he could "break Khamzat" due to a lack of cardio. The event is part of a five-year partnership between Real American Freestyle, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and the UAE Wrestling Federation. Other notable matches include Arman Tsarukyan vs Neiman Gracie, Umar Nurmagomedov vs Uriah Faber, Kyle Dake defending his cruiserweight title against Alp Arslan Begenjov, and Kennedy Blades defending her women's middleweight title against Bella Mir.
