Influencer rejected my paid promo offer for ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ – Funke Akindele

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, known for her work on films like "Everybody Loves Jenifa," revealed during a panel session at the Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND) that an unnamed social media influencer rejected her proposal to pay for promotional content for her upcoming 2024 film. Akindele mentioned that she faced initial hesitation in reaching out to the influencer but eventually sent a message proposing a content collaboration for the film's promotional campaign.

After several days she received a response stating that the influencer's management was not interested in the collaboration, even though she was willing to pay for the promotional content. Despite her disappointment, Akindele said she did not let this discourage her from pursuing promotional partnerships, stating that she had learned to handle rejection and focus on her goals.
