PHOTOS: Yobe APC rallies for Tinubu, counters ‘Tinubu Must Go’ slogan

The All Progressives Congress in Yobe State held a solidarity rally in Damaturu on Saturday to demonstrate support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid and the governorship candidacy of Alhaji Baba Malam Wali. According to Daily Trust, the event was tagged “Tinubu Must Go Again, Cika Alkawari” and was organized by the Tinubu Must Go Again Movement in collaboration with the Yobe State APC leadership.

Thousands of supporters, including women and youths, marched through major streets in the city, led by the Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje.

The mobilization serves as a counter to the opposition slogan “Tinubu Must Go,” as reported by both Punch and Daily Trust. Daily Trust notes that this rally follows a protest held by hundreds of youths in Potiskum on October 1, where demonstrators called for the President's removal due to issues including economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment, and poor governance.

Some of those Potiskum protesters reportedly carried African Democratic Congress flags and stated that the President's Independence Day broadcast failed to address their grievances.
