Green Bay Packers have caused panic among their fans after announcing that former head coach Mike Holmgren is once again under consideration for Pro Football Hall of Fame induction. Holmgren led the Packers to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in the 1996-97 seasons, including the Super Bowl XXXI title. The announcement was made via a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
However, the wording of the post led to confusion and alarm among fans, with some expressing concern that Holmgren had passed away. Despite the initial panic, the Packers have clarified that Holmgren is indeed a candidate for the prestigious honor, joining a list of other notable coaches that includes Bill Belichick, Tom Coughlin, Dan Reeves, and Mike Shanahan.
