DAEGU — Despite holding a significant 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Korean Series, Lions manager Park Jin-man cautioned against any sense of complacency. The Lions secured a 10-5 victory over the KT Wiz in Game 4 at Daegu Samsung Lions Park, located in the southeastern city of Daegu. With this win, the Lions will clinch their first championship since 2014, provided they emerge victorious in Sunday's Game 5, also held in Daegu.
The Lions have demonstrated their dominance by winning three consecutive games, and their performance in the past two games, played at home, was notably impressive. However, despite the Wiz's recent rally, scoring three runs in the fifth inning on Saturday, it was largely ineffective in the preceding two matches. Park emphasized that the task is far from complete, stating, "We are getting close but in the postseason, one game can be a turning point and then you never know what can happen after that."
To ensure they maintain their momentum, Park intends to take a comprehensive approach to bullpen usage during the series.
