Daegu — Despite the Samsung Lions' 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Korean Series against the KT Wiz, manager Park Jin-man remains focused and warns against relaxing. The Lions secured a 10-5 victory over the Wiz in Game 4 at Daegu Samsung Lions Park on Saturday. With a series win in Sunday's Game 5, also in Daegu, they would secure their first championship since 2014.
The Lions have won three consecutive games, displaying a strong performance in the previous two games at home. Though the Wiz showed a slight resurgence by scoring three runs in the fifth inning on Saturday, they have generally been lackluster in the past two contests. However, Park emphasizes that the game is far from over, stating, "We are getting close but in the postseason, one game can be a turning point and then you never know what can happen after that."
To ensure they do not let their guard down, Park plans to implement an all-hands-on-deck approach with his bullpen usage. He will not announce his starting pitchers for Game 5, which will take place in Daegu.
