Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has stated that hardworking Nigerians should have food on their tables. Speaking at an APC rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Yari questioned why people without money could not find food in the market, despite the availability of foodstuffs.
He argued that if a person had money, they could afford to feed themselves. The remarks come amid rising concerns over the cost of living and economic hardships faced by Nigerians, especially as the 2027 general elections approach. Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has blamed past leaders, particularly opposition figures, for the hunger and poverty in the country.
