How Will Butler used Mr. Football snub to lead Green Hill past Blackman
Marshall commit Will Butler played several different positions, scored two touchdowns and left Green Hill to a 21-14 win over Blackman.
Will Butler, initially left off the 2026 Class 6A Tennessee Titans Mr. Football semifinalist list, delivered a standout performance for Green Hill, leading them to a 21-14 victory over Blackman in the TSSAA football playoffs Class 6A first-round. The Swiss Army Knife wide receiver, quarterback, safety, linebacker, and punter showcased his all-around skills, scoring the Hawks' first and last touchdowns.
Butler, who expressed frustration over not being named a Mr. Football semifinalist, played the game with determination to prove his worth. Green Hill advanced to face Cleveland at home in the second round, while Blackman finished with a 6-5 record. Green Hill coach Josh Crouch praised Butler's pivotal role, stating that the team doesn't need external votes to recognize their success.
