Accra Mayor honours Adom FM/TV journalist Prince Owusu Asiedu for environmental reporting

Accra Mayor Michael Kpakpo Allotey has recognized Adom FM/TV journalist Prince Owusu Asiedu for his exceptional environmental and health reporting. This commendation took place during a national clean-up event in Accra, where the Mayor praised the journalist for his dedication to shedding light on sanitation and public health matters through his reporting.

Allotey emphasized that this recognition is intended to motivate both Asiedu and fellow journalists to enhance their coverage of sanitation and environmental concerns, ultimately contributing to a cleaner and healthier Accra. The Mayor's commendation aligns with President John Dramani Mahama's Reset Agenda, which prioritizes improving sanitation and environmental cleanliness nationwide.

Additionally, the Public Relations Officer of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Gilbert Ankrah, was also honored for his valuable contributions and commitment to his role. Other recipients included members from James Town TV, who were acknowledged for their respective achievements. These recognitions aim to inspire media professionals and other stakeholders to actively participate in promoting environmental responsibility, proper sanitation, and public health awareness in the capital city.

The awards underscore the crucial role that journalists and communication professionals play in supporting efforts to maintain a clean Accra through public education, awareness-raising, and responsible reporting.
