Officials told to make fool proof arrangements for CII Partnership Summit
CII Partnership Summit will be held on November 12 and 13 at the Andhra University Engineering College grounds in Visakhapatnam
Special Chief Secretary Shamsher Singh Rawat instructed officials on Friday, November 6, 2026, to meticulously plan arrangements for the CII Partnership Summit on November 12 and 13, 2026, in Visakhapatnam. Reviewing preparations with district-level officials, Rawat emphasized the need for advance measures to ensure delegates' comfort, both domestic and international.
A command and control room should collaborate with departments, and liaison officers must be well-equipped with knowledge of guest needs and program details. Special tourism circuits and trained guides should be arranged to showcase local attractions to foreign visitors, with hop-on hop-off buses and welcome signage along the routes to tourist sites.
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation was urged to expedite civil works, beautification, sanitation, and CCTV installations. Structural, fire, electrical safety, and public address systems at venues needed inspection and certification. Security of guests was paramount, with a reception desk and welcome team to be set up at the airport, adhering to Telugu traditions like offering traditional shawls.
Accommodation, transport, protocol, and welcome gala dinners required meticulous handling. Registration desks should be positioned at the engineering college ground adjacent to the main venue, alongside parking, traffic plans, and mobile toilets. Control room operations commenced from November 9, with registration and pass distribution overseen at the Collectorate. Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi and GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg were among the attendees.
