MultiChoice has ceased the GOtv Stream mobile application, which enabled subscribers to access selected television channels and catch-up programs on their mobile devices. The service, launched in Nigeria on December 1, 2023, has been discontinued and its Android version removed from Google Play on October 21. Customers are now directed to watch channels included in their active GOtv subscriptions through their decoders.
MultiChoice did not provide a reason for the discontinuation or announce a replacement service for GOtv Stream users. The decision aligns with the company's broader digital and subscription service changes following its acquisition by French media company Canal+.
