Max Power: NASA hosting its 1st air show this weekend on Florida's Space Coast
NASA will host a first-of-its-kind air show and aerospace expo on Florida's Space Coast this weekend —an event that shares its name with one of Homer Simpson's aliases.
NASA is set to host its inaugural air show and aerospace expo on Florida's Space Coast, named Max Power, this weekend. The event will take place over two days, Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th, at and around NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC). Fans of the Simpsons may recognize the show's title, Max Power, as Homer Simpson's alias from the show's 10th season.
Visitors to the event can expect a wide variety of exhibits, including NASA's quiet supersonic jet, the X-59, as well as discussions on various space exploration goals and lunar outpost plans. The event will also feature flyovers, including those by SpaceX's founder, Jared Isaacman, who has funded and commanded several successful space missions.
