La Liga: I wish Atletico vs Barcelona could end in double defeat — Mourinho

Real Madrid coach José Mourinho expressed his desire for Atlético Madrid and Barcelona to both lose in their upcoming La Liga match at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Sunday. The team's coach stated, "Atletico vs Barcelona? I'd like both of them to lose." He clarified that while this outcome is not possible, a point drop for both teams would be beneficial for Madrid’s title challenge.

Barcelona currently leads the table with 30 points, two ahead of Atlético (28) and three clear of Real Madrid (27). A win for either side would bolster their title prospects, while a draw would result in points loss for both. Mourinho also addressed Cristiano Ronaldo's decision to retire from the Portugal national team, stating that he respects Ronaldo's choice and that his international career is not over.
