Apple Store holiday return rules are in effect

Apple has updated its holiday return policy, allowing customers until January 8, 2027, to return most items bought from its retail stores or online. This applies to most products, except iPhones and cellular iPads bought locked to a specific carrier. Apple reminds customers they are responsible for their wireless service agreements, as returning such devices may not cancel or reset the account with the carrier.

Gift cards have been reinstated as an excluded item, as they were in 2025. All return rules apply to US customers, with similar terms for international buyers. Puerto Rico customers have additional return steps outlined on Apple's returns page.
