Al Wakrah Municipality plans to give away 10,000 free seedlings as part of a green initiative called "Al Wakrah Goes Green." This five-day campaign runs from November 8 to 12, from 7am to 11am, at Al Wakrah Public Park. The initiative also involves giving out free organic fertiliser to residents and visiting 10 schools to raise environmental awareness among students.
The goal is to get people involved in protecting the environment, create more green spaces, and teach sustainable practices, especially to younger residents. By distributing seedlings and fertiliser, the municipality hopes to make gardening at home easier and help the community work towards a greener and healthier environment.
