Paul F. Tompkins, Skye Townsend, and Aparna Nancherla share the secrets of Dropouts MP3
Paul F. Tompkins, Skye Townsend, and Aparna Nancherla share the secrets of Dropout's new show, "MP3."
Dropouts MP3, Dropout's first scripted show in seven years, features a trio of wacky music videos each week. Comedians Paul F. Tompkins, Jeremy Culhane, Aparna Nancherla, and Skye Townsend star in the series, which follows the father-son duo of Dane Cartel (Culhane) and his father, MP3 director Thomas Cartel (Tompkins). The show's unusual cast brings their own creative input to their characters, with Townsend receiving extensive input into Dr. Muse-Tina's appearance.
Tompkins and Nancherla draw inspiration from their own wardrobes, while Townsend uses mood boards to visualize her character. The show also explores themes of non-toxic masculinity and the construction of a unique character through improvisation and creative freedom.
