Jon Stewart Calls for Chuck Schumer Ouster After Blue Wave: ‘Bulls–t System and It Needs to Go’

Comedian Jon Stewart is calling on Democrats to replace senior party leaders, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, following the recent blue wave midterm victories. On Thursday's episode of "The Weekly Show," Stewart argued that the first priority for Democrats should be to dismantle the outdated political system and seniority-based leadership that contributed to their losses.

"Job one of this opportunity is to tear down the obstacles and old way of thinking that got us into this mess," Stewart stated. "Someone has to meet this moment and they have got to show — and this moment is not, 'Oh, we get to impeach everybody,' like f–k that. Like, you have an opportunity to actually govern. Do it. Take it. And one of the first things you need to do is remove that system of seniority from Democratic politics."

Stewart emphasized that the current system is flawed and needs to be replaced. The Democrats secured major wins in swing states like Texas and North Carolina, dealing a significant blow to President Donald Trump. Trump responded on social media, claiming he would have won a landslide if he had been on the ballot.
