During the Wednesday episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," the late night host took aim at Donald Trump for his party's poor performance in the Midterm Elections. Kimmel urged the president to "just shut up" and stop blaming others for his party's underperformance. He criticized Trump for writing an email stating he wasn't on the ballot and that they would have won in a landslide if he had been.
Kimmel dismissed this excuse, telling Trump, "Oh, shut up, please." The studio audience cheered in response to this statement. Kimmel further emphasized his disappointment with Trump's behavior, calling him a "spoiled child" and questioning if he ever learned manners or sportsmanship. He highlighted that Republicans everywhere, except in the deepest red states, lost the elections.
Kimmel dissected Trump's theory that the party lost because he wasn't on the ballot, stating, "You were on the ballot. You're like dog hair. You're on everything." He added that Trump had divided the country more than ever before. This angered the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" audience once again, causing them to erupt in noise and applause.
