GTA 6 release date: Is there early access? The soonest anyone can play.
For GTA fans who want to play GTA 6 now, or as soon as possible, here's what you need to know about early access for Grand Theft Auto VI.
The eagerly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI is just around the corner, scheduled for Nov. 19, 2026. However, for those desperate to get their hands on the game, there is some good news. GTA fans can pre-order the digital version of the game, which will allow them to download the massive 212 GB file on Nov. 10, nine days before the official release.
While the game will remain locked until the release date, pre-ordering ensures it will be ready to play on your console come midnight local time on Nov. 19. For those looking to gain even more time, they can change their console region settings to New Zealand and use a VPN to access the game on Nov. 18. This early access is already being enjoyed by some lucky video game reviewers, who received their codes in late October and will publish their coverage alongside the game's release. The embargo for GTA 6 reviews lifts on Nov. 18, one day before the official release.
