First public betas for iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, and macOS 27.3 are available

Apple has released the first public betas for iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS Golden Gate 27.3, tvOS 27.3, and watchOS 27.3, two days after the developer betas were made available. MacRumors reports that iOS 27.3 is a major update featuring a Vertical Tabs layout option and Adaptive Dark Mode for Safari. Other updates include a redesigned Health app with custom Insights and Longevity information, Siri AI enhancements that allow for new developer actions, and the Selfie Sing feature in Apple Music.

According to MacRumors, macOS Golden Gate 27.3 includes the same Safari features as iOS and brings Live Activities to Macs lacking a Dynamic Island. On the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, Audio Intelligence features such as Live Rewind and Siri Recap are available for testing. Live Rewind produces a transcript of the previous 15 seconds of speech, while Siri Recap provides high-level summaries of daily conversations.

AppleInsider notes that some bugs and incompatibilities have been encountered, suggesting users with mission-critical needs may want to wait before installing. Users can access these betas by signing up on Apple's beta testing website and installing them via the Software Update section in the Settings app. MacRumors expects these updates to launch in December.
