Fani-Kayode, Seyi Tinubu, three others receive senior counsel rank

The Nigerian Law Society has bestowed the prestigious rank of Senior Counsel on Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Seyi Tinubu, Olufunmilayo Osifuye, Ihudiebube Chukwumdi, and Alabi Adigun. This honor, introduced in 2025, acknowledges legal professionals who have excelled in specialized areas of practice outside the courtroom. The award ceremony took place at the society's 2026 Annual General Conference in Abuja, themed "Justice for All: Non-Litigation Nigerian Law Graduates Through the Blue Silks (SCN), BOSCON and the NLS."

Fani-Kayode, in his acceptance speech, emphasized the importance of protecting Nigerians' rights and dignity, both domestically and internationally, and stressed that justice should be accessible to all, not just the privileged.
