Don’t stop loving Nadal over Madrid role, Mourinho tells fans

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has encouraged his fans not to abandon their support for tennis star Rafa Nadal following the club's proposal for Nadal to join the board of directors. Speaking after Real Madrid's 3-2 Champions League victory over AEK Athens, Mourinho expressed his delight with Nadal's potential appointment, praising the news as "fantastic." He emphasized that he hopes fans who support Nadal will not stop backing him simply because he will now be a Real Madrid member.

Nadal, a lifelong Madridista and honorary member of the club, is slated to join the board if ratified at the General Assembly on November 21. Mourinho described the appointment as a source of pride for the club and its supporters, light-heartedly urging Nadal's wider fanbase to continue their backing.

During the same press conference, Mourinho addressed squad matters and highlighted Brazilian forward Endrick. He lamented the difficulty of selecting starters, stating that having talented players who can't play or start games is "a real tragedy." He praised Endrick's value as an impact substitute and stressed that the depth of the squad is a strength for the team, as long as every player remains committed to the team's success.
