2027: Obi’s ally endorses Makinde’s presidential bid

Serah Ibrahim, a prominent grassroots mobiliser linked to the Obidient Movement, has endorsed Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde's presidential bid for the 2027 general election. This endorsement came during the unveiling of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential manifesto in Abuja on Wednesday. Ibrahim, who has been closely associated with former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, introduced Makinde as the "most outstanding Nigerian on the ballot" at the event.

She revealed on her X account that she contributed to the development of Makinde's policy manifesto, dubbed the Reset Agenda. Ibrahim urged Nigerians to read the four-pillar document, focusing on the economy, security, education, and governance, and share their thoughts on the Reset Agenda. Her public endorsement, while not officially announcing a departure from the Obidient Movement, signals Makinde's growing support ahead of the 2027 presidential race.
