A video has surfaced online showing former aide to Atiku Abubakar, Segun Showunmi, dancing in celebration after a court nullified the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate Atiku's candidacy. In the video, the former aide is seen dancing and laughing moments after the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed the ADC leadership and invalidated Atiku's 2027 presidential ticket.
Showunmi had previously warned that the coalition that took over the ADC under the former Senate President David Mark was built on a faulty foundation and would not withstand a legal challenge. The Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed the Caretaker Committee led by Mark and invalidated the party's presidential ticket held by Atiku.
The judge also dismissed all the national officers of the party, including the National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola. Showunmi expressed his joy in the video, stating that he had forewarned and that the court had spoken.
