2027: Atiku proceeds to Kebbi for campaign despite court judgment [VIDEO]]

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is en route to Kebbi State from Sokoto in preparation for the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential campaign rally scheduled for Thursday. This development occurred just hours after a Federal High Court in Abuja overturned the procedures that led to Atiku's selection as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The nullification of Atiku's candidacy came after Justice Peter Odo Lifu ruled that the emergence of himself, along with former Senate President David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, as the party's presidential candidate was invalid. Additionally, the court overturned the decision made by the David Mark-led leadership of the ADC, cancelling the nominations of all candidates the party had presented for the 2027 general elections.

Atiku's journey to Kebbi State was captured in a video shared on X by Rashee. The court's decision was based on a lawsuit filed by Nafiu Bala Gombe, a Deputy National Chairman of the ADC, who contested the procedures through which Mark and Aregbesola came to hold leadership positions within the party. The court also cancelled the actions taken by the leadership of the ADC and declared all nominations made by the party for the upcoming election as null and void.
