(Video): Mighty PSG put Champions League rivals on notice with 6-0 demolition

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football club delivered an emphatic 6-0 victory against their Champions League rivals Villarreal last night, sending a clear message to their opponents that they are in top form heading into the new season. This demolition of Villarreal marks the biggest triumph of the season for PSG, and it sends a strong signal to the European football community that they should now take their rivals more seriously.

The match showcased PSG's attacking prowess, with the Parisians controlling the game from the outset. Joao Neves put the visitors ahead with a clever volley from close range after a set piece, followed by Desire Doue adding a second goal with a composed finish after some sloppy defending. The scoreline only continued to climb, as Senny Mayulu and Fabian Ruiz extended PSG's lead to 4-0 within the first 17 minutes of play, despite Villarreal's efforts to mount a comeback.

PSG's dominance was further cemented when Luis Enrique's team scored a fourth goal after halftime, this time through Senny Mayulu. The team showed no signs of slowing down, and young full-back David Boly added a fifth goal for the club in the second half. The performance was lauded as a masterclass by Luis Enrique, who insisted that he would not allow his team to take any chances or ease up in the game.

Luis Enrique's strategic approach to the match was evident, as he pushed players like Joao Neves to reach new heights. Achraf Hakimi also received constructive feedback from the team's manager despite his current impressive form. Overall, the 6-0 victory serves as a strong indication that PSG is entering the new season with renewed vigor and confidence, and should serve as a warning to their Champions League opponents that they will be facing a formidable opposition in the coming months.
