When I asked ChatGPT and Google AI about America's biggest AI data center projects, their responses were strikingly different. Five Blocks, a digital reputation management company, examined how eight AI engines described 25 of America's largest AI data center projects. The study found that none of the 1,200 general project descriptions were negative.

However, when the question shifted to the challenges each project faced, 55% of answers were classified as negative. The disparities between AI platforms were remarkable. Google AI Mode generated negative responses to the challenges question 88% of the time, compared to just 6% for ChatGPT. As AI data centers continue to expand across the country, this research highlights an important issue: the AI tool selected and the wording used can significantly alter the information received.
