Buettner-Cable became the sixth Boston University individual cross country champion in Patriot League history.
Adrienne Buettner-Cable, a graduate of Des Moines Roosevelt High School, outperformed expectations on Halloween weekend. The Boston University senior secured the second-fastest time in Patriot League history while claiming her first conference title. She excelled in the 6-kilometer race at Bucknell Golf Course, finishing in 19 minutes, 41.6 seconds.
Buettner-Cable led the Terriers to a third-place finish in four attempts, earning her the title of Patriot League Most Outstanding Performer. Prior to this victory, her best Patriot League individual finish was a runner-up in the 10,000-meter track race in May 2026.
