Xiaomi Launches Another Redmi Phone With Familiar Specifications

Xiaomi has recently introduced the Redmi M100 Pro in China, a mid-range smartphone boasting a 120Hz OLED display, a 50MP camera, and a 5,500mAh battery. The device is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor and offers 12GB of RAM, alongside 256GB of storage. Priced at around $350, the Redmi M100 Pro is available in four distinct colors.

Design-wise, the Redmi M100 Pro showcases a 6.67-inch curved OLED display, boasting a resolution of 2712 × 1220 pixels and operating at a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen can reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness in localized areas and features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added protection. It also incorporates 1,920Hz PWM dimming to minimize screen flickering at lower brightness levels. Weighing around 190 grams and measuring 8.2mm in thickness, the phone is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.

The device comes in Black, White, Cyan, and Purple variants, with the latter offering a leather-like finish on its back. Under the hood, the Redmi M100 Pro runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor, featuring a 4nm fabrication process. It is complemented by 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a 256GB UFS 2.2 storage drive. The phone operates on Xiaomi’s HyperOS platform. Additional features encompass stereo speakers, an X-axis vibration motor, an under-display fingerprint scanner, NFC functionality, and an infrared blaster.

On the camera front, the Redmi M100 Pro houses three lenses on the rear: a 50MP primary camera equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide camera for expansive shots, and a 2MP macro camera for detailed close-ups. For selfies and video calls, a 20MP front-facing camera is at the ready. The Redmi M100 Pro is powered by a 5,500mAh battery, supporting 45W wired fast charging, and is currently priced at approximately $350 in China.
