Walmart’s ‘GTA 6’ preorder bonus leaked: How to score the free "surprise and delight bag"

Walmart is offering a pre-order bonus for the upcoming game Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), according to leaks. When preordering a physical copy of the game at Walmart, customers receive a plastic case containing a digital voucher slip. This means that players will need to allocate 210GB of their SSD storage and endure a lengthy download to access the game, even though a disc is not included.

The online deal-tracking account Nintendeals discovered that Walmart advertised a complimentary "surprise and delight bag" as part of the GTA 6 preorder, available for $79.99. Although this promotional item might seem like an enticing incentive for a $80 purchase, which rarely experiences day-one discounts, it may not be enough to justify the lack of a physical disc.

In the past, Walmart has bundled promotional snack kits with certain game preorders, such as Pringles and Coca-Cola for the Nintendo Switch 2. However, the free swag provided with the GTA 6 preorder doesn't seem to justify the plastic case and paper code. For those interested in collector memorabilia, Rockstar has also released a separate $400 Collector's Box.

This 11-piece crate includes custom Oakley sunglasses, a New Era cap, and a physical map of the game's fictional world, Leonida. Still, it's worth noting that the actual game itself is sold separately.
