'VisionQuest' homework guide: Everything you need to watch to understand Marvel's WandaVision follow-up
White Vision, Hex Vision, and Ultron all converge in this spirited new superhero series.
VisionQuest is the final episode in a trilogy of Marvel shows starring Vision, following 2021's WandaVision and 2024's Agatha All Along. These shows delve into the complex life of Vision, Paul Bettany's android former Avenger. To understand VisionQuest, it's essential to watch Avengers: Infinity War, WandaVision, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, and Agatha All Along.
However, VisionQuest is not as simple as just watching all Marvel movies and shows in order, as there are many small references to other MCU films that are just nods. The key connections are that Vision was killed by Thanos in Infinity War, then resurrected as White Vision and Hex Vision in WandaVision, and later in VisionQuest, White Vision's body is combined with memories of the resurrected Hex Vision.
Additionally, Vision's AI consists of various factions, including Ultron's consciousness and J.A.R.V.I.S. and E.D.I.T.H., as well as Tommy and Billy Maximoff, who reappear in VisionQuest. The show also introduces new villains, like Paladin.
