Trump to make final US midterm pitch at troubled Reflecting Pool

Donald Trump is set to deliver his final pitch to Americans ahead of the US midterm elections at the iconic Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. The President, who has faced criticism over the recent $15 million renovation project at the site, will highlight the achievements of his administration and contrast it with the Democrats' "radical, America Last agenda".

The Reflecting Pool, where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech in 1963, has become a stage for Trump's political battles. In a recent interview, Trump predicted victory for Republicans in the midterms, but acknowledged that if they lost, he would veto all legislation. Democrats aim to seize control of the House of Representatives and be close to winning the Senate, which would impose significant constraints on Trump's policies and powers.

If Democrats win the House, they would control the federal budget and investigative committees. A Democratic Senate could block Trump's judicial appointments. The midterms are crucial for the future of Trump's presidency, with the outcome potentially leading to impeachment or increased presidential restrictions.
