Tinubu's reelection: Only greedy, selfish politicians'll say there's no Rainbow Coalition - Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated on Monday that only greedy and selfish politicians would claim that there is no Rainbow Coalition. He urged Nigerians to embrace this coalition as a means to unite people, collaborate politically, and facilitate the country's sustainable growth. The remarks were made during a town hall meeting in Gwagwalada, Abuja, which attracted traditional leaders, local government chairmen, political leaders, youth groups, and supporters of the two main political parties.

Wike highlighted that some greedy and selfish politicians fail to comprehend the concept of unity, often unable to maintain harmony within their families or communities. Consequently, they dismiss the existence of the Rainbow Coalition. He elaborated on the coalition as a strategic political approach that unites diverse groups, engages citizens at the grassroots level, and supports Tinubu's administration.

Wike argued that Nigeria requires a political movement centered on effective governance, delivering quality services, and prioritizing citizen welfare over partisan politics. He further emphasized: "What is governance? Making the people happy. Never in the history of the FCT have you seen all of us sitting together like this, not to argue or fight, but to talk and understand each other for the good of the FCT and the unity of our people."
