Real Madrid’s Arda Guler has emerged as the creative force behind the team, leading La Liga in two key statistical categories, as Jose Mourinho’s influence grows. The 21-year-old Turkish international has amassed 39 key passes and 21 accurate crosses this season, topping the competition in both rankings. His exceptional performance has earned him a coveted starting spot in Jose Mourinho's team, where he has proven to be an indispensable asset.
Guler’s influence extends beyond his goal-scoring output, with his underlying numbers indicating that his impact on the game is even greater than his three assists suggest. Despite the team’s recent winning streak, including a 3-0 victory over Racing Santander, Guler’s numbers highlight the need for improved finishing from his teammates.
Nevertheless, his ability to drift inside, identify passing lanes, and deliver pinpoint crosses makes him a valuable addition to Madrid’s transitional attackers. Guler’s evolution from a talented young player to a key member of Mourinho’s lineup is a testament to his potential and the trust placed in him by the coach.
